You Have a Marketing Manager. What You're Missing Is a Market Activation Strategy

You hired someone to handle marketing so you could focus on running the business. They're working hard — campaigns are going out, content is being created, the calendar is full.

But the market isn't responding the way it should. Nothing is breaking through. The work feels busy rather than bold. And when the big decisions come up — a new offer, a market expansion, a rebrand — you're still the one in the room trying to figure it out.

You don't need to replace your team. You need a senior strategist above them who can set the direction, raise the ambition, and make sure the work your team is doing actually makes your market pay attention.

What This Is Not

This is not a hands-on execution role. I won't be running your campaigns, managing your vendors, or owning day-to-day deliverables. If that's what you need, the Fractional CMO Retainer is a better fit.

The Advisory is for companies that have the doers — they just need someone senior enough to lead them.

I worked closely with Latesha at Pindrop Security where she ran our marketing programs and events. She did an outstanding job, worked every detail and always added a special touch to set us apart.

Every event and campaign she drove was a success. I strongly recommend her.

- Greg Adams

Her interview was one of the most listened to of that season. It's not hard to see why when you experience how specific Latesha is in her examples, attention to detail, and incredible frameworks. Listeners felt they could immediately implement and see results from Latesha's interview.

We loved her so much, we had her back [as a speaker] inside our community where I was again blown away by her generosity and also ability to rock the Q&A section with even more detailed support, follow-up questions, and resources. If you can get Latesha inside your community, do it!

For me, there's something special about a speaker that can knock your socks off with their know-how and genius, but then also be conversational and fun so it feels like you're hanging with your best friend.

Not only did she share a framework for giving your lead magnet a million dollar name, she actually used the framework to name some listeners' lead magnets live on the call and they were wow'd by the results. It was like a mix between a summit talk and a magic show 😆 If you're not hiring this genius, what are you doing? #realtalk

Hi, I'm Latesha — The Senior Voice That Makes Your Team's Work Hit Differently

I've spent 15+ years making companies impossible to ignore in their markets — at Fortune 500 companies, seed-funded startups, regional enterprise organizations, and through my own consultancy.

What I've learned is that the companies whose marketing actually breaks through aren't the ones with the biggest teams or the biggest budgets. They're the ones with someone senior enough to raise the ambition of the work and hold the team accountable to results that actually move the market.

That's the gap I fill in an Advisory engagement. Not as someone who takes over — but as the strategic partner who makes your existing team sharper, bolder, and clearer on what it actually takes to make your market pay attention.

YOUR STRATEGIST

Questions Worth Asking Before You Hire Anyone

How is the Advisory different from the Fractional CMO Retainer?

The Retainer is a fully embedded engagement where I own the marketing strategy and lead execution alongside your team. The Advisory is a senior strategic counsel role — I'm in the key meetings, available for real-time decisions, and setting the direction, but I'm not running the day-to-day. If you have a marketing team and need someone above them, Advisory is the right fit. If you need someone to build and own the whole function, that's the Retainer.

Will you work directly with my marketing manager or director?

Yes — and that's one of the most valuable parts of this engagement. Your marketing manager gets access to senior-level strategic thinking they wouldn't otherwise have. I help them prioritize, sharpen their instincts, and execute with more confidence. Most clients find their team performs significantly better with a senior voice guiding the strategy above them.

How much of your time does this
actually involve?

Enough to matter — not so much that it's overwhelming. Advisory engagements are built around your leadership rhythm: key meetings, async availability, and quarterly reviews. I'm not clocking in daily, but I'm never far when it counts.

Do you work onsite or remotely?

Primarily remote — which means I work with companies well beyond Atlanta and Metro Atlanta. I'm available for on-site leadership meetings within the Metro Atlanta area during business hours, and I'm happy to travel for key strategic sessions or planning days. Travel engagements are scoped separately.

What if we need more than advisory support down the road?

That's a natural progression. Several Advisory clients move into the Fractional CMO Retainer once they're ready for a more embedded engagement. We can have that conversation when the time is right.

How quickly can you get up to speed on our business?

Faster than you'd expect. My background spans industries — from cybersecurity startups to Fortune 500 retail to B2B SaaS — which means I'm wired to assess quickly, spot the gaps early, and start adding value within the first few weeks.

How do you measure success in an advisory role?

We define that together upfront. Whether it's your marketing team executing with more clarity and confidence, campaigns connecting more directly to revenue, or you finally feeling like you can step back from the marketing questions — we agree on what winning looks like before the engagement starts.
